Chocosimply - the simple chocolate cake

The following recipe results in a simple very tasty and fresh chocolate cake. The cake is very good freshly baked, but even better is it that the cake may be frozen and the taste is almost the same after defrosting. Very nice together with a good cup of coffee.

Baking this cake take ca. 1 hour, and I recommend to let it set for at least 1 hour afterwords.

Cake

400 gram butter
4,5 dl water
1 tablet of chocolate (ca 100 gram)
7 dl sugar
9 dl white flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
3 dl sour cream

Warm water and butter until it boils. Melt chocolate pieces in the water/butter. Poor sugar and salt into the mixture, and then sift the white flour into. The eggs must be stirred in one by one. Baking soda and sour cream is to be included last. Stir until it is smooth.

Smear butter in a roasting tin, and poor the mixture into the roasting tin.

Bake in preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius in 30 minutes.

When the cake has been in the oven for ca 25 minutes start making the glazing in order to get it ready once the cake is finished.

Glazing

160 gram butter
6 tablespoons milk
1 tablet of chocolate (ca 100 gram)
350 gram icing sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar

Melt butter together with milk and chocolate. Icing sugar and vanilla sugar is to be sifted in.

When the cake is finished in the oven take it out and use a fork to pinch all over the cake. This is done to get the glazing down into the cake and make it even better.

Poor the glazing over the cake and smoothen it all over the cake. If You want to decorate the cake do this now.

Let the cake rest until set (overnight).

Cut the cake in desired pieces. I recommend to freeze pieces sized ca 15 cm x 15 cm. Slices to serve should be ca 5x5 cm.

Kake

400 g margarin
4,5 dl vann
1 plate kokesjokolade
7 dl sukker
9 dl hvetemel
1 ts salt
4 egg
1 ts natron
1 beger lettrømme

Vann og maragrin varmes opp til koking. Sjokoladeplaten brytes opp i biter og smeltes sammen med vann og margarin. Hell sukkeret og salt oppi, og sikt deretter melet i blandingen. Eggene has i og røres ut ett om gangen. Natron og lettrømme tas oppi til slutt. Rør godt til det blir jevnt og fint.

Smør en langpanne og hell i blandingen.

Dette stekes i forvarmet ovn på 180 grader i ca 30 minutter.

Når kaken har stekt i ca 25 minutter er det på tide å starte på glasuren slik at den er rykende varm idet kaken er ferdig stekt.

Glasur:

160 g smør
6 ss melk
1 plate kokesjokolade
350 g melis
2 ts vaniljesukker

Smør smeltes sammen med melk og sjokolade. Melis og vaniljesukker siktes i.

Når kaken er ferdigstekt tas den ut av ovnen og bruk en gaffel til å stikke rundt overalt i kaken. Dette slik at glasuren skal kunne trekke ned i kaken og gjøre den enda bedre.

Hell deretter glasuren utover kaken og stryk fint over med slikepott eller kniv. Dersom man ønsker strøssel eller lignende tas dette på.

La stå til den er stivnet (over natten).

Del kaken opp i ønskede biter. Jeg anbefaler ca 15 cm x 15 cm størrelser dersom det skal fryses. Serveringsstykker lages ca 5x5 cm.
